How I stayed healthy & happy during the worst year of my life

Hello Friends!  After a long hiatus from video blogging I am back!

Last year was probably the worst year of my life. So many people have asked me, how did you stay so grounded and maintain your well-being during so many life challenges? I told them it was my practice of positive psychology. So over  the next several video blogs I am going to share with you all of my daily practices that keep me happy, confident, resilient and  healthy no matter what is going on in my life. I’d love to hear your stories too so please write to me and let me know your experiences. Thanks everyone!

  3. Hello Louisa,
Thank you for your video post, and for asking us to share our experiences.

My story has a similar thread. After brain surgery for an aneurysm 2 years ago, I decided not to “recover”…. I would “flourish” every day. Recovery meant that I was hanging onto the surgery. Flourishing was taking positive psychology into my daily living, so I was my own case study. Result? I feel healthier, younger and even more positive!

Here’s to feeling great every day, and thanks again for sharing your story.

Maggie, that must have been so challenging to go through brain surgery! I am glad to hear you are feeling so good! It’s amazing how once you decide to flourish instead of just recover, so many good things happen. I think it starts with feeling that flourishing is possible in your situation and you embraced it with so much success! What a wonderful story. Thank you so much for sharing it.
